Public Relations Fall Internship
Description:
The Film Society of Lincoln Center is looking for a motivated, determined, and organized candidate to join our public relations team. The ideal candidate must be in college to receive college credit and available two days a week during the hours 10:30 – 5:00 (can be flexible). Past PR experience in the film industry is preferred.
Responsibilities:
Collecting press breaks, tracking and organizing all incoming press, and keeping press archives organized
Sending out DVDs to journalists, helping check in press at press screenings
Shadowing publicists on red carpets and helping with talent as needed
Conducting research for retrospectives and film series.

Special Events Internship
The Events Assistant will support the Events team in a broad range of administration and production duties. These duties include, but are not limited to assisting with the RSVP process and updating guest lists, helping on-site with events, and supporting day to day administrative tasks in the office. The events assistant will support multiple spring projects including Rendez-vous with French Cinema, New Directors/New Films festival and the 45th Annual Chaplin Gala honoring Helen Mirren.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Assist with RSVP process and update guests lists with thorough communication to necessary parties
Manage guest check-in on site
Oversee set up of on-site events
Organize printed materials
Procure and organize supplies for events
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED
High School Diploma with some course work at a 4-year college or university
Availability two-three days a week
Willingness to learn the organization’s invite systems
Thorough organization and communication skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft excel and google docs
Detail oriented
Ability to show discrepancy when sharing sensitive information
A “can do” attitude and desire to learn
Flexibility to work evenings and/or weekends as driven by events calendar
Customer service experience a plus
Heavy lifting required.

Educational Internship
Description:
Works closely with the Director of Education to support the successful completion of our Educational Database including, but not limited to:
● Information gathering via phone calls and internet research
● Data input
The Film Society of Lincoln Centers Education Department is currently seeking an Administrative Volunteer for the winter, 2017/2018. PLEASE NOTE: Must be available 2-3 full days per week.
Principal Duties:
● Knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
● Excellent written and oral English Language communication
● Attention to detail
● Ability to work with a tight deadline
● An interest in Film and/or Education
● A current final-year university student or degree holder
● Proven ability to work within a diverse community
** Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
** A product of the NYC Public School System a plus
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the Director of Education to prepare educational materials for our in-school Film Society Kids Program, including but not limited to:
- · Making copies
- · Delivering materials to school partners
- · Preparing film props
Commitment:
Up to 15 hours per week (additional hours available)
