'미나리' 윤여정씨 한국배우 최초 SAGA 수상 영광
제 27회 미영화배우조합(SAG)상 수상자 리스트
윤여정씨가 미 영화배우들이 선정하는 제 27회 미배우조합상(SAGA, Screen Actors Guild Award) 여우조연상을 수상했다.
리 아이삭 정 감독의 '미나리(Minari)'에서 순자 할머니 역을 맡은 윤여정씨는 마리아 바칼로바(보랏2), 글렌 클로즈(힐빌리의 노래), 올리비아 콜먼(더 파더), 헬레나 젱겔(뉴스 오브 더 월드)을 제치고 영광을 안았다. 한인 배우로서 SAGA 수상은 처음이다.
'미나리'의 스티븐 연이 경합한 남우주연상은 지난해 8월 사망한 채드윅 보스만(Ma Rainey's Black Bottom)에게 돌아갔다. '미나리' 배우들이 노미네이트된 최고상 앙상블상(Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture)은 '시카고 7의 재판(The Trial of the Chicago 7)'이 거머쥐었다. 지난해엔 봉준호 감독의 '기생충(Parasite)' 출연진이 비영어권 영화 최초로 최고상인 앙상블상을 수상했다.
1995년 시작된 SAGA는 영화와 TV에서 연기상만을 대상으로 시상한다. 2012년 현재 회원은 16만5천여명이다. 트로피는 코미디와 비극의 마스크를 들고 있는 16인치, 12파운드의 누드 남성 동상으로 'The Actor'라 불리운다.
한편, 링컨센터필름소사이어티에서는 윤여정 회고전(Youn Yuh-jung Retrospective, 4/9-18)을 열며, 윤여정과의 대화(4/15, via ZOOM) 시간도 마련했다. 회고전에서는 미나리, 찬실이는 복도 많지, 죽여주는 여자, 다른 나라에서, 하녀 등 2010년 이후 출연한 대표작 5편을 상영한다.
