BTS 멤버 지민(Jimin, 27. 본명 박지민)이 디올(Dior)의 글로벌 앰버서더로 위촉됐다. 이와 함께 디올은 킴 존스가 디자인한 아웃도어 스포티 패션 차림의 지민을 소셜 미디어에 올렸다. 지민은 올 2월 솔로 데뷔할 예정으로 알려졌다. 이로써 BTS의 제이홉, 진, RM에 이어 네번째 솔로 데뷔 멤버가 된다. 

최근 고급 브랜드들은 K-팝 스타들의 세계적인 인기를 활용하고 있다. 블랙핑크의 지수도 지난해 디올의 글로벌 앰버서더로 지명된 바 있다. 모건스탠리의 조사에 따르면, 한국인은 1인당 개인 사치품 지출액이 세계 최고다.
