테일러 스위프트 그래미 사상 최다 4번째 올해의 앨범상 

조니 미첼, 빌리 조엘, 스티비 원더, 셀린 디옹, U2, 트레이시 채프만 등 출연

'미드나잇츠'로 그래미상 '베스트 앨범상'을 수상한 테일러 스위프트.

수퍼스타 테일러 스위프트(Taylor Swift)가 'Mindnights'로 2024 그래미상(Grammy Awards) 최우수 앨범상 4번째 트로피를 안았다. 그래미상 역사상 최우수 앨범상 부문 최다 수상자로 기록됐다. 스위프트는 최우수 팝 보컬 앨범상도 수상했다. 

제 66회 그래미상 주요 부문상은 여성들이 석권했다. 빌리 아이리쉬(Billie Eilish)는 영화 '바비(Barbie)' 주제곡으로 올해의 노래상, 마일리 사이러스(Miley Cyrus)는 댄스곡 'Flowers'로 올해의 레코드와 최우수 팝 솔로 퍼포먼스상을 수상했다. 그리고, 신인 아티스트상은 빅토리아 모네(Victoria Monét)에게 돌아갔다.

2월 4일 LA의 크립토닷컴 아레나에서 노아 트레버의 사회로 진행된 이번 그래미상 시상식에서는 스티비 원더(Stevie Wonder)가 작고한 토니 베넷 등 음악계 인사들을 추모하는 연주를 했으며, 30여년간 공연을 중단했던 빌리 조엘(Billy Joel)이 무대에 올랐으며, 왕년 'Fast Car'로 인기를 얻었던 트레이시 채프만(Tracy Chapman), 아이리쉬 록밴드 U2가 라스베가스에서 공연했다.

하이라이트는 모겔론병을 앓고 있는 전설의 포크 가수 조니 미첼(Joni Mitchell, 80)이 무대에 올라 명곡 'Both Sides Now'를 부른 것이다. 미첼은 'Joni Mitchell At Newport [Live]'로 최우수 포크 앨범상을 받았다. 또한, 최고상인 앨범상 시상자로 '강직인간증후군'(SPS.stiff person syndrome)과 투병 중인 셀린 디옹이 등장했다. 올 그래미상은 총 94개 부문에 걸쳐 시상했다.

한편, 클래식 부문에선 리카르도 무티가 지휘하는 시카고심포니 오케스트라의 'Contemporary American Composers'가 최우수 엔지니어드 앨범상, 피아니스트 유자 왕은 테디 에이브람스가 지휘하는 루이스빌 오케스트라와 협연한 'The American Project'로 최우수 클래식 기악 솔로상을 수상했다.
