앤드류 로이드 웨버 작곡 리바이벌 뮤지컬 '선셋 대로(Sunset Boulevard)'

올리버상 작품, 연출, 남녀주조연, 음악, 안무 등 11개 부문 노미네이션

뉴욕 브로드웨이엔 토니상(Tony Awards), 런던 웨스트엔드엔 올리비에상(Olivier Awards)가 있다. 웨스트엔드에서 성공한 뮤지컬이나 연극은 대개 브로드웨이로 입성한다. 

 

'팬텀 오브 오페라'의 앤드류 로이드 웨버가 작곡한 리바이벌 뮤지컬 '선셋 대로(Sunset Boulevard)'가 2024년 올리비에상 작품상을 비롯, 연출(제임스 로이드), 남녀주연(니콜 셔징거, 톰 프란시스, 그레이스 호제트 영, 데이빗 탁스톤), 남녀조연, 안무, 사운드 디자인, 음악연출, 세트디자인, 조명디자인 등 11개 부문 후보에 올랐다. 

 

 

빌리 와일더 감독, 글로리아 스완슨 주연 '선셋 대로'(1950)

 

제임스 로이드가 연출, 니콜 셔징거가 주연을 맡은 '선셋 대로'는 무성영화시대 스타였던 노마 데스몬드의 삶을 그린 빌리 와일더 감독, 글로리아 스완슨 주연의 동명 할리우드 영화(1950)를 각색한 뮤지컬로 올해 브로드웨이에서 공연될 예정이다. 

 

2024 올리비에상 시상식은 4월 14일 로열알버트홀에서 열린다.
