뉴욕필하모닉이 2024-25 시즌을 발표했다.

임윤찬(Yunchan Lim)은 11월 27일, 29일, 30일, 12월 1일 버밍햄심포니오케스트라 수석 지휘자 야마다 카주키(Yamada Kazuki)와 쇼팽의 피아노 콘체르토 2번을 협연한다. 조성진(Seong-Jin Cho)은 2025년 2월 20일, 21일, 22일 산투-마티아스 루발리(Santtu-Matias Rouvali) 지휘로 프로코피예프 피아노 콘체르토 2번을 현연할 예정이다. 핀란드 출신 산투-마티아스 루발리는 타악기를 연주하다가 지휘로 전환해 2021년 영국 필하모니아 오케스트라의 수석지휘자로 발탁됐다. 

뉴욕필하모닉의 2024-25 시즌엔 상임지휘자 공석으로 게스트 지휘자가 대거 영입된다. 현 뉴욕필의 음악감독 얍 판 즈베덴(Jaap van Zweden)은 2023-24 시즌으로 임기가 끝나며, 2024년 1월부터 서울시향(Seoul Philharmonic)의 음악감독으로 간다. 수퍼스타 지휘자 구스타보 두다멜(Gustavo Dudamel) LA필하모닉 음악감독은 2026년부터 뉴욕필의 음악감독직을 시작한다. 

시즌 개막 콘서트는 9월 12일 마이클 틸슨 토마스(Michael Tilson Thomas)의 지휘로 에마누엘 액스(Emanuel Ax)가 모차르트 콘체르토 14번을 협연하며, 말러 심포니 5번을 선사한다. 개막 콘서트는 13일, 15일에도 열린다. 구스타보 두다멜은 2025년 3월 13일부터 16일까지 뉴욕필 거주 아티스트로 지명된 피아니스트 유자 왕(Yuja Wang)과 모리스 라벨(Maurice Ravel)의 탄생 150주년 생일을 기념한 콘서트를 지휘한다. 조지 거쉰(George Gershin)와 에드가르 바레즈(Edgard Varèse)의 곡도 선사한다.
