Buena Vista Social Club on Broadway

 

빔 벤더스(Wim Wenders) 감독의 다큐멘터리(1999)로 널리 알려진 '부에나비스타 소셜클럽(Buena Vista Social Club)'이 뮤지컬로 제작되어 오는 2월 21일 제랄드 숀펠드 시어터(Gerald Schoenfeld Theater)에서 프리뷰를 거쳐 3월 19일 개막된다.

하바나의 녹음 스튜디오에 모인 노년의 뮤지션들이 쿠바 혁명 시절을 회상하면서 벌어지는 이야기다. 이 뮤지컬은 2023년 오프 브로드웨이 아틀랜틱시어터 컴퍼니 초연됐다. 

대본은 Marco Ramirez("The Royale"), 연출은 Saheem Ali("Fat Ham"), 안무는 Patricia Delgado와 Justin Peck 커플이 맡았다.

SYNOPSIS:
