익명의 아티스트와 건축가 그룹(Johnson Study Group)이 뉴욕현대미술관(MoMA)의 글렌 로우리 관장에게 파시즘에 동조했던 건축가 필립 존슨(Philip Johnson)의 이름을 건물과 직책명에서 제거할 것을 요구했다.
필립 존슨(Philip Cortelyou Johnson, 1906-2005)은 오하이오주 클리블랜드에서 태어나 하버드대 건축과를 졸업했다. MoMA의 애비 알드리치 록펠러 조각공원과 링컨센터 뉴욕스테이트시어터를 비롯, 맨해튼 씨그램 빌딩과 포시즌 레스토랑, 립스틱 빌딩, 코네티컷주 뉴캐넌의 글래스 하우스, 디트로이트 센터 등을 설계했다.
1979년 제 1회 프리츠커상을 수상했다. 1993년 동성애자로 커밍아웃했으며, 2005년 1월 글래스하우스에서 98세로 별세했다. 존슨은 한때 "히틀러가 루즈벨트보다 낫다"는 말을 했다.
