워싱턴한국문화원 2022년-2023년 공연작품 공모

 

 

<온스테이지 코리아>는 워싱턴한국문화원이 미 현지에 한국의 공연예술을 소개하고자 기획한 공연예술 공모사업입니다. 문화원은 2021년 12월 20일(월)부터 2022년 1일 28(금)까지 2022-2023 시즌 <온스테이지 코리아> 무대에 오를 유망한 예술가 및 단체의 작품을 모집하고, 선발된 예술가 및 단체에게는 워싱턴 D.C. 소재 공연장에서 문화원과 공동주최로 공연할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.

 

공모 분야는 음악과 무용 두 장르이며, 한국 문화와 관련된 주제나 소재를 담은 공연작품을 선보일 수 있는 예술가나 단체는 모두 신청이 가능합니다. 신청을 원하시는 분은 2022년 1월 28일(금)까지 아래 온라인 지원서를 작성 후 제출해 주시기 바랍니다.

□ 2022년-2023년 온스테이지 코리아 일정 및 장소

 

●일정: 2022년 6월 ~ 2023년 12월

●장소: 워싱턴 D.C. 소재 공연예술 전문극장

 

※ 2022-2023 시즌은 총 4회(또는 이상)의 행사를 추진할 예정

※ 세부 날짜는 공모 결과에 따라 선정된 예술가와 논의 후 결정되며 공연장은 장르 및 규모를 고려해 최종 확정됨.

 

□ 공모 및 심사 일정

 

● 신청 기간: 2021년 12월 20일(월) ~ 2022년 1월 28일(금)

● 마감: 2022년 2월 18일(금), 오후 5시(EST)

● 심사: 2022년 2월 중순

● 최종발표: 2022년 2월 말(예정)

 

 ※ 최종 발표는 선정된 예술가나 단체에게 개별 통지될 예정

 

□ 신청 자격

 

●한국문화와 관련된 주제나 소재가 담긴 작품을 공연할 수 있는 예술가나 단체

 

※ 작품의 길이는 최소 45분에서 최대 90분 이내로 제한

※ 프로젝트 그룹으로 활동하는 예술단체도 신청 가능

※ 기금마련 행사를 목적으로 하는 작품은 신청 불가

※ 2017-2020 시즌에 선정된 예술가나 예술단체는 신청 불가

 

□ 공모 분야

 

●무용: 한국무용, 현대무용, 발레, 창작무용, 재즈, 힙합댄스 등

●음악: 국악, 클래식, 재즈, 퓨전뮤직, 월드뮤직 등

 

※ 무용/음악 장르와의 미디어 협업 작품도 지원 가능

 

□ 워싱턴한국문화원 지원사항

 

●공연예술 전문무대 1회 제공

●기술적 지원: 무대장비 대여 및 전문인력 지원

●소정의 예술가 사례비: 문화원 기준에 따라 정액 지원

●차량 이동 지원: 공항-숙소, 숙소-공연장 이동 지원

●홍보 지원: 포스터 및 리플렛 제작, 사진 및 영상 촬영 등 지원

●예술가 비자 신청비 및 코로나 검사비 지원

 

※ 문화원은 선정된 예술가나 단체의 항공료, 숙박비, 식비, 일비, 리허설 장소 대여료는 원칙적으로 지원하지 않음.

※ 코로나19로 인해 현지 투어공연이 어려울 경우, 온라인 상영회로 대체해 공연 영상물 제작을 지원할 예정

 

□ 공모 심사

 

●방법: 공연 관련 전문가들로 구성된 위원단의 심사 과정을 통해 작품을 선정

 

※ 공모 신청서 및 증빙자료 심사 포함

 

●심사기준

 

- 예술성: 작품의 완성도, 창의성, 질적 수준 등 평가

- 시장 경쟁력: 현지 공연예술 분야의 진출 가능성 및 대중성 평가

- 사업 적합도: 문화원 사업의 목적 및 취지에 부합하는지 평가

 

●점수 및 순위: 전문가 심사를 통해 산출된 점수 합산 후 최종 점수가 높은 순서대로 순위를 정해서 선발

- 기타 증빙자료: 프로필, 사진 및 영상 자료 등 활동 경력을 증명할 수 있는 자료 제출

Open Call for Performing Arts

 

2022-2023 SEASON ONSTAGE KOREA

Presented by the Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C.

 

The Korean Cultural Center Washington, D.C. (KCCDC) is seeking to give brilliant, original artists and performance groups the opportunity to perform for the American public through an open call for the OnStage Korea 2022-2023 Season. Presented at venues across the Washington, D.C. region, OnStage Korea fosters cultural exchange and understanding while enhancing the visibility of Korean performing arts and artists in America.

 

 

Online Application (English)

 

o Performance Season & Venues

 

●Performance Season: June 2022 – December 2023

●A total of at least 4 performances are planned for this season

 ※ Venues: Established performing arts centers in the Washington, D.C. region

 ※ Venue will be determined based on the type and size of the performance

 

o Qualifications

 

●An individual artist, group, or non-profit arts organization that can present a live performance related to Korean cultural theme or Korean culture/arts

●Applicants should also note the following terms and exceptions:

- Performance runtime should be between 45 and 90 minutes

- Artists applying for a single performance project or as a temporary/project-based group are eligible to apply (as well as established, regular artists and groups)

- Performances that aim to raise funds through ticket sales are not eligible to apply

- Artists who were previously selected for participation in OnStage Korea between 2017 and 2020 are NOT eligible to re-apply for the 2022-2023 season

 

o Performing Arts Categories/Genres

 

●Dance: Modern, Korean Traditional, Creative, Ballet, Jazz, Hiphop, etc. (all types)

●Music: Classical, Korean Traditional, Jazz, World Music, etc. (all types)※ Artists and organizations whose performances incorporate multimedia or other collaborations may also apply.

 

o Support Provided

 

●Performance venue (for a one-time event)

●Stage technical production (sound, lighting, stage crew, etc.)

●Nominal artist fees (dependent on selection placement)

●Basic rehearsal studio space at the KCCDC (subject to space constraints)

●Local transportation (between the airport, hotel, venue, and KCCDC, as needed)

●Promotional (posters, postcards, brochure, photos, video, online, social media, etc.)

●Artist visa and COVID19 test fees (for travel between Korea and the U.S.)

※ The KCCDC does not provide for or cover the following potential expenses: airfare, accommodations, daily living expenses, meals, per diem allowance, additional rehearsal space rental fees, application fees and/or materials, or other related expenses not listed above under Support Provided.

 

o Application Schedule

 

●Application Period: December 20, 2021 - January 28, 2022

●Application Deadline: February 28, 2022 at 5:00 PM (EST)

●Review Period: February 2022

●Final Selections and Notification of Results: End of February 2022

o Application Evaluation

 

●Applications will be evaluated by a panel of performing arts professionals and experts based on criteria set by the KCCDC. Evaluations will be based on the contents of the application and any supporting materials submitted.

 

o Application Documents

 

●Two completed online application forms (one in English and one in Korean)

●Online links to optional supporting documents or media (e.g. performer resumes, photos, links to sample or past performance recordings, etc.)Inclusion of a link to at least one sample performance video is strongly recommended.

●Any physical documents or materials submitted as part of an application will not be returned.

●Applicants may be disqualified at any point if any information in their application is found to be false, misleading, or incorrect, or if the terms included in this guide are not adhered to.
