Grab your art-inspired costume for Halloween festivities for all ages this weekend at the Whitney. Join us for dancing and drinks at an after-hours New York Haunts Party on Thursday, Teen Night on Friday, or a special Open Studio for families on Saturday.

 

Enjoy trick-or-treating, spooky scavenger hunts, and giveaways throughout the weekend as you take in haunted visions of NYC in Edward Hopper’s New York and more chilling art on view.

NEW YORK HAUNTS PARTY

Thursday, October 27, 7:30–10 pm

 

Dance the night away in costumes inspired by your favorite NYC haunts and icons at our special edition of Member Night featuring open galleries, tours, live music, and more. Whitney Members attend free; additional tickets are available for purchase.

Beware night at the Museum! Teens are invited to a thrilling night at the Whitney. Come in costumes and enjoy live music, dancing, artist-led workshops, a spooky photo booth, snacks, and more.

MAGICAL MASQUERADE FAMILY DAY

Saturday, October 29, 11 am–3 pm

 

Join artists and educators for hands-on family artmaking and complete a mysterious scavenger hunt through Edward Hopper’s New York for a chance to win exciting prizes. Don’t forget to wear your costume and strike a pose in our Halloween photo booth!

TRICK-OR-TREATING

October 29–31, 11 am–3 pm

 

Trick-or-treat at the Whitney on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (while supplies last), and look out for Whitney-themed jack-o-lanterns in the Museum’s Lobby—including a gourd inspired by Edward Hopper’s Automat—created by Maniac Pumpkin Carvers.
