캐츠킬, 카터스킬 폭포 셀피 추락 조심하세요

인스태그램 시대 셀피 사고가 증가하고 있다.
토마스 콜 등 허드슨강 학파들이 즐겨 그렸던 캣츠킬의 웅장한 폭포 카터스킬(Kaaterskill Falls)에서 셀피를 찍다가 사망하는 사고가 근래 들어 4건이나 발생했다.
인스태그램이나 페이스북 등 소셜미디어에 완벽한 폭포 사진을 찍으려다가 추락사한 것. 카터스킬 폭포는 260피트 높이다.
카네기멜론대가 2014년부터 2016년 사이 127건의 셀피 사망 사고를 분석한 바에 따르면, 가장 흔한 것은 높은 곳에서 떨어지는 추락사다. 따라서 벼랑을 조심해야 한다.
