Formed in 2016, this six-member boy band – JinJin, MJ, Cha Eun-woo, Moon Bin, Rocky, and Yoon San-ha – raced immediately to the top of the charts and gained legions of fans almost overnight. Billboard listed them as “one of the best new K-pop groups” of that year, describing their sound as an irresistible blend of electro and synthpop.   Their first EP, Spring Up, reached No. 6 on the Billboard World Albums Chart in its first week of release. ASTRO’s follow-up, Summer Vibes, came later that same year and also climbed to the top of the charts. Since then, the hits have kept on coming.
