뉴욕시가 10월 31일 할로윈 데이를 기해 이날 오후 4시부터 8시까지 트릭 오어 트릿을 안전하게 할 수 있도록 자동차 없는 '오픈 스트릿'으로 규정한다. 이에 따라 뉴욕시 5개 보로의 100 스트릿은 보행자와 자전거만 다닐 수 있다.
