'미 요리사들의 오스카상' 제임스비어드재단상 2015 최종 후보가 발표됐다.
데이빗 장의 모모푸쿠누들바가 뉴욕 최우수 식당 후보에, 모모푸쿠 베이커리의 크리스티나 토시가 최우수 페이스트리 셰프 후보에 올랐다. 데이빗 장은 GQ 잡지(David Chang's Kitchen)의 음식 칼럼니스트로도 후보에 지명됐다.
한편, 코리 리(베누, 샌프란시스코), 에드워드 리(610 마그놀리라, 루이빌), 레이첼 양(줄, 시애틀)도 각 지역 최우수 요리사로 노미네이트됐다.
데이빗 장은 이미 2007년 신인 요리사상(모모푸쿠 누들바), 2008년 뉴욕 최우수 요리사상(모모푸쿠 쌈바), 2009년 최우수 뉴 레스토랑상(모모푸쿠 코)에 2013년 미 최우수 요리사상(모모푸쿠 누들바)와 최우수 신인 요리상 크리스틴 토시(모모푸쿠 베이커리&밀크바)까지 5회 수상한 전력이 있다.
1990년 뉴욕의 프렌치 요리사 겸 작가 제임스 비어드의 이름을 따서 제정된 JBFA의 수상자에겐 그의 얼굴이 새겨진 청동 메달과 증서가 수여된다. 2015 JBFA 시상식은 뉴욕을 떠나 5월 4일 시카고에서 열린다. www.jamesbeard.org.
