메트로폴리탄뮤지엄이 레오나르도 다 빈치(Leonardo da Vinci, 1452. 4. 15-1519. 5. 2)의 사망 500주기를 맞아 드로잉 4점과 그의 영향을 받은 작품들을 전시 중이다.

왼손잡이였던 레오나르도는 오른쪽 하단에서 왼쪽 상단으로 선을 그렸다. 빛과 그림자를 묘사하는 스푸마토(sfumato, 스모크 방식) 기법은 후대 화가들에게 영향을 주었다. 드로잉은 빛에 예 민해서 3개월 이상 장기간 전시하지 않는다.
