 李불 Lee Bul (1964~ )

강원도 영월 출생. 홍익대학교 조소과 졸업. 창의적이며, 지성적으로 도발적인 조각으로 주목받았다. 1997년 뉴욕현대미술관(MoMA)에 구슬로 장식한 생선이 썩어가는 설치작으로 화제가 됐으며, 1998년 휴고 보스상 수상. 1999년 제 48회 베니스비엔날레에 캡슐 노래방 설치작 ‘속도보다 거대한 중력 아마추어’로 특별상(Honorable Mention) 수상. 이후  뉴뮤지엄(2002), 브루클린뮤지엄 '글로벌 페미니즘' (2007), 도쿄 모리미술관(2012) 파리 생티엔느 현대미술관(2015) 등지에서 개인전을 열어왔다.
