할리우드 스타 로빈 윌리엄스 사망

'미세스 다웃화이어' '죽은 시인의 사회' '굿 윌 헌팅' '피셔 킹' 등에 출연한 배우 로빈 윌리엄스(Robin Williams)가 세상을 떠났다.

뉴욕타임스에 따르면, 로빈 윌리엄스는 11일 샌프란시스코 외곽 티뷰론의 자택에서 무의식 상태로 발견됐다.

마린카운티 경찰국의 발표에 따르면, 로빈 윌리엄스의 사인은 질식이며, 자살로 추정되고 있다.

로빈 윌리엄스는 최근 극심한 우울증에 시달려온 것으로 알려졌다.

'굿 윌 헌팅'으로 1998년 아카데미 남우조연상을 수상한 로빈 윌리엄스는 최근 '브루클린의 가장 분노한 남자(Angriest Man in Brooklyn)'에서 밀라 쿠니스와 함께 출연한 바 있다.  로빈 윌리엄스는 올해 말 개봉될 '박물관이 살아있다 3: 무덤의 비밀(Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb)'에 출연했다.

로빈 윌리엄스는 1989년 '죽은 시인의 사회'에서 '현재를 살아라(Carpe Diem)' 연설로 스크린 속 영원한 스승으로 각인되었다.

마린카운티 경찰국은 12일 오전 11시 로빈 윌리엄스의 사인에 관한 기자회견을 열 예정이다.
