The 89th Academy Award Winners

마이애미 빈곤가정 출신 청년의 삶을 그린 '문라이트(Moonlight)'가 2017 아카데미상 최우수 작품상을 수상했다. '문라이트'는 이외에도 남우조연상과 각색상 등 3개 부문을 석권했다.

뮤지컬 '라라 랜드'는 여우주연, 감독, 오리지널 작곡, 주제가, 촬영상, 프로덕션 디자인상 등 6개 부문상, '바닷가 옆 맨체스터'는 남우주연상과 각본상의 2개 부문상을 수상했다. 한편, 최우수 외국어영화상은 이란 감독 아스가 파하디의 '세일즈맨'이 수상했다. 2011년 '별거'에 이어 두번째 외국어영화상을 수상한 감독은 트럼프의 반이민정책에 저항하며 불참했다.

26일 아카데미상 시상식에서 최우수 작품상을 시상하러 나온 페이 더너웨이가 '라라 랜드'로 발표했으며, '라라 랜드' 제작진이 무대에 올라 수상 소감을 발표하던 중 '문라이트'가 최우수 작품상이라고 번복하는 해프닝이 벌어졌다. 시상하러 나왔던 워렌 비티가 봉투 안의 수상자 명단이 담긴 '엠마 스톤, 라라 랜드'였다고 해명했다. 누가 봉투를 잘못 전해주었을까? 아카데미상 시상식 최악의 사건으로 남게 됐다.
