Harmony for Peace Foundation will present its ONE WORLD CONCERT 2018. The concert will feature world-renowned coloratura soprano and superstar Sumi Jo. Ms. Jo was called “The Gift from Heaven” and “The Voice of Angel” by greats such as Herbert von Karajan, and has delighted millions of opera fans around the world.
The concert also features young emerging artists such as Filip Pogady, violin, and Paris Aspen Arin, piano, who both have in recent months accelerated their musical careers. Another exciting addition to this lineup are two principal dancers of FJK Dance of New York, Fadi Khoury, Founder and Artist Director; and Sevin Ceviker, Associate Artist.
This year’s “ONE WORLD CONCERT 2018: Hope and Love for Tomorrow,” is the Foundation’s second presentation at the Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall. It highlights the power of music to touch and inspire humanity, calling for the importance of coming together with compassion and making efforts for global respect. At this concert, the young musicians invited will be able to perform with featured guest artists from inside and outside the United States. With all who are taking part in the concert, Harmony for Peace comes to unite under the belief of “One Voice One World.” This event hopes to share the foundation’s message and values with every individual at the concert. The lineup of artists are originally from: Sumi Jo, South Korea; Filip Pogady, Slovakia; Wataru Niimori, Japan; Fadi Khoury, Iraq; Sevin Cerkir, Turkey; Paris Aspen Arin of Turkish heritage; Max Wang of Chinese heritage; and Honoka Kikukawa from Japan.
