'보헤미안 랩소디' '그린 북' 최우수 작품상...'로마' 감독, 외국어영화상

사회자 산드라 오 '킬링 이브'로 여우주연상 석권...부모에 한국어로 소감

산드라 오가 TV 드라마 시리즈 부문에서 '킬링 이브'로 여우주연상 수상 후 소감을 밝히고 있다.

한국계 캐나다 배우 산드라 오가 앤디 샘버그와 사회를 본 2019 골든글로브상 시상식에서 TV 드라마 부문 최우수 여우주연상의 영광까지 차지했다.

산드라 오는 지난해 아시아계 최초로 에미상 여우주연상 후보에도 오른 'Killing Eve'로 줄리아 로버츠, 케리 러쎌, 엘리자베스 모스를 제치고 골든글로브상을 품에 안았다. 산드라 오는 이날 시상식에서 시상식에 참석한 부모(오준수, John Oh/ 오영남, Young-nam Oh)를 향해 "엄마, 아빠, 사랑해요!"라고 한국어로 소감을 피력했다. 산드라 오는 2006년 '그레이의 해부'로 골든글로브 여우조연상을 수상한 바 있다.

아시아계 최초로 골든글로브상 시상식 사회를 맡은 산드라 오는 오프닝에서 "저는 관객 보면서 변화의 순간을 목격하고 싶어 이 자리에 나왔습니다"라고 밝혔다. 그리고, "하지만, 지금, 이 순간은 실제로 일어나고 있습니다. 믿어주세요. 진정입니다. 왜냐하면 제가 당신을 보고, 또 당신을 봅니다. 모든 얼굴의 변화를. 그리고, 지금 모두가 그렇게 될 것입니다."라면서 할리우드의 인종적 다양성에 대해 언급했다.

한편, 레이디 가가가 출연하고, 브래들리 쿠퍼가 메거폰을 잡고 주연한 '스타 탄생'은 강력한 작품상과 여우주연상 후보였으나, 주제가상 수상에 그쳤다. 할리우드 외신기자 클럽이 시상하는 골든글로브상은 스타성과 외국영화에 후한 점수를 주는 편이다. 록밴드 퀸의 보컬리스트 프레디 머큐리 전기영화 '보헤미안 랩소디'가 작품성이 약함에도 불구하고 드라마 부문 최우수 영화상을 수상한 것도 외신기자 클럽의 성향을 반영한다.
