MoMA Summer Internship
About the Seasonal Internship Program
The Seasonal Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students and beginning professionals with practical experience in a specific area of museum work at The Museum of Modern Art. In addition to departmental work, each Tuesday interns participate in professional development activities designed to increase understanding of the Museum’s various collections, exhibitions, and departments. The Museum hosts approximately 25 interns per season in just about every department. Participants may arrange for academic credit through their school, but it is certainly not a requirement.
The Museum of Modern Art Summer 2019 internships require a commitment of five days per week. The schedule for the five days is 9:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. One must have a minimum of two years of college completed (or equivalent) by June 2019 in order to apply.

Why are you interested in participating in an internship at The Museum of Modern Art?

Visit Frequently Asked Questions for more information.
4. Transcript
Send in transcripts of undergraduate and graduate records. We accept either official or unofficial transcripts. If you do not have access to an unofficial transcript, allow enough time to order a transcript from your college or university so that you will be able to attach it as PDF with your other application materials by the deadline.
Note that we will not review applications received after the deadline, and we will only review complete applications. It is your responsibility to submit your application fully and on time.
Select applicants will be contacted to arrange interviews. The majority of interviews will be conducted over the phone. If we request an interview with you, we will email you to arrange a convenient date and time for you.
Do not contact MoMA about scheduling an informational interview. Due to the high volume of applications and interest, we do not have the available resources or staff to conduct informational interviews.
