김보라 감독의 '벌새(House of Hummingbird)'와 김태용 감독의 '꼭두 이야기(Kokdu: A Story Of Guardian Angels)', 코리안-아메리칸 앤드류 안 감독의 '드라이브웨이즈(Driveways)'가 제 69회 베를린영화제(2/7-17)에 초청됐다.

'벌새'는 1994년 성수대교 붕괴 때 사춘기를 보낸 주인공의 가족에 관한 성장영화로 Generation 14plus 부문에서 상영된다. '가족의 탄생'과 '만추'의 김태용 감독이 연출한 '꼭두 이야기'는 할머니의 꽃신을 찾아나선 남매가 저승 세계에서 4명의 꼭두를 만나 벌어지는 이야기. 2010년작 '만추'에 이어 두번째 베를린 영화제 진출이다.

2019 베를린 영화제 심사위원장은 프랑스 배우 줄리엣 비노슈, 심사위원으로는 LA 타임스의 비평가 저스틴 정이 참가한다.
