첼리스트 양정인(Sunny Yang)씨가 활동하는 4인조 앙상블 크로노스 쿼텟(Kronos Quartet)이 2월 8일 오후 9시 카네기 잰켈홀에서 콘서트를 연다.

The Kronos Quartet, joined by Iranian vocalist Mahsa Vahdat, spotlights the rich diversity of artistic voices from Muslim majority countries in Music for Change: The Banned Countries, with a program that includes the world premiere performances of Ya Mun Dakhal Bahr Al-Hawa (Hey, Who Enters the Sea of Passion?) by Fatimah Al-Zaelaeyah (arr. Jacob Garchik) and Islam Chipsy’s Zaghlala (Blurred vision caused by strong light hitting the eyes) (arr. Jacob Garchik), both co-commissioned by Carnegie Hall as part of its 125 Commissions Project. Also on the program is Franghiz Ali-Zadeh’s Mugam Sayagi; Traditional’s Wa Habibi (Beloved) (arr. Stephen Prutsman) and Bia Ke Berem Ba Mazar (arr. Milad Yousufi); Ramalah Underground’s Tashweesh (arr. Jacob Garchik); Omar Souleyman’s La Sidounak Sayyada (I'll Prevent the Hunters from Hunting You) (arr. Jacob Garchik); Dur-Dur Band’s Dooyo (arr. Jacob Garchik); Hamza El Din’s Escalay (Water Wheel) (realized by Tohru Ueda); and Mahsa Vahdat’s The Sun Rises (arr. Sahba Aminikia), "Leyli's Nightingales" (arr. Atabak Elyasi), and "Dead yet I was, then came to life" (arr. Atabak Elyasi).
