The Gallery Madison Park is pleased to announce, Lee Kang Wook, as our newest featured artist.

Just minutes away from the Empire State Building, the Gallery Madison Park has exhibited the works of many exceptional artists from around the world for both solo and group shows. We are very excited for Lee to be joining us for his solo show, “[Inconspicuous],” and we invite you to come and enjoy his works in person.

Lee Kang Wook is a Korean-born artist with an extensive background in painting and abstract art. Lee graduated with a BFA in Fine Art and Art Studies, and then an MFA in Modern Art from Hongik Universi-ty in Seoul. He also received his MA in Fine Art from the Chelsea College of Art and Design in London, and has recently earned his PhD from the University of East London.

Lee quickly rose to fame in South Korea’s art scene in 2002, with his first exhibition titled “Invisible Space.” This series explores microscopic, cellular worlds, elucidating a new, hidden space that changes in scale depending on the viewer’s perspective. Throughout his career, Lee has been continuing this series and furthering his studies on space and perception.

Currently, Lee’s works can be found in numerous museums and institutions throughout South Korea, including the Seoul Museum of Art, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
