카네기홀 스페셜 이벤트 인턴 공모
Carnegie Hall
Intern, Special Events
The Carnegie Hall Special Events team is a six-person (Director, Associate Director, Manager, Coordinator, Assistant, and Intern) fast-paced and dynamic team within the Development Department. We are looking for a paid intern to join us in mid June of 2019 through the beginning of October. Throughout Carnegie Hall’s annual concert season, the Special Events team oversees approximately 50 donor-related events, including 2-4 large-scale fundraising Galas each year with a total annual revenue goal of $9M-$11M.
The Special Events Intern becomes a fully-integrated member of the Special Events team. Interns gain experience with research and various writing formats, from donor correspondence to marketing and web copy, as well as project management and hands-on event opportunities, including face-to-face interactions with Carnegie Hall donors and VIP guests. It is the goal of the department to give interns the knowledge and experience that would prepare them for entry-level fundraising or events positions. While this is not an internship-to-full-time program, a number of previous Special Events Interns have gone on to successful careers at Carnegie Hall and other leading cultural institutions.
Qualifications
The Special Events Intern should be an outgoing and ambitious self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills and should hold or be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. The ideal candidate should feel equally comfortable working independently or as part of a group, as well as capable of maintaining discretion around high-profile society and business leaders. Priority will be given to candidates who have exemplary computer skills, particularly knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. Knowledge of fundraising databases, especially Tessitura, is preferred but not necessary. Some evening hours required.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates that are interested in more than one area of Development are encouraged to apply to multiple internship positions.
