패스트 패션 글로벌 브랜드 포에버 21(Forever 21)이 플러스 사이즈 의류 주문 고객들에게 다이어트용 앳킨스 레몬 바(Atkins lemon bar) 샘플을 보내 비난이 소셜미디어에서 비등하고 있다. 과체중 여성들은 원치않은 체중감량용 간식을 받는 것을 모욕이라 생각하는 것. 또한, 한 연구에 따르면, 저탄수화물 다이어트가 특히 여성들에게 암, 뇌졸중, 심장병 위험을 야기시킨다고.
포에버 21은 1984년 LA의 한인 장도원씨와 장진숙씨 부부가 창업했으며, 현재 세계에 700여개 체인을 운영하고 있다.
