미국에서 코로나19 봉쇄(lockdown) 조치가 늦어져서 희생자가 늘어난 것으로 나타났다.
뉴욕타임스에 따르면, 5월 3일 현재 미 코로나19 사망자수는 6만5천307명, 뉴욕시 1만7천581명이지만, 봉쇄가 1주일 앞당겨졌다면, 전체 사망자수는 2만9천410명, 뉴욕시는 2천838명으로 낮아졌을 것으로 밝혀졌다.
