프란치스코 교황: 인종차별은 원죄, 폭력은 자멸적

#BlackLivesMatter 시위 8일째, 프란치스코 교황이 입장을 밝혔다. 교황은 어떤 종류의 인종차별도 용납되지 않으며 자멸적인 폭력으로는 얻어질 것이 없다"고 말했다.
"My friends, we cannot tolerate or turn a blind eye to racism and exclusion in any form and yet claim to defend the sacredness of every human life... At the same time, we have to recognize that 'the violence of recent nights is self-destructive and self-defeating. Nothing is gained by violence and so much is lost. ...in praying for the repose of the soul of George Floyd and of all those others who have lost their lives as a result of the sin of racism."
