맨해트 이스트빌리지는 200여명 파티, 롱아일랜드 햄턴 등지 레스토랑 오픈 등 뉴욕주 코로나 안전규칙 위반 신고가 2만5천건에 이르렀다.
이에 앤드류 쿠오모 주지사는 바와 레스토랑 주류 면허 박탈, 범칙금 등으로 처벌하겠다고 으름장을 놓았다.
