런던의 미술 전문 출판사 파이돈(Phaidon)이 최근 한국 현대미술사 ''1953년 이후의 한국 미술: 균열, 혁신, 교류'(Korean art from 1953: collision, innovation, interaction)'를 출간했다. 이 책은 2017년 로스앤젤레스카운티미술관(LACMA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art)에서 열렸던 심포지엄 '1953년도 이후의 한국미술'에서 시작했다. 

1950년대와 1960년대 추상미술부터 한국 아방가르드의 실험 운동, 단색화, 민중미술, 한국 현대사진, 북한의 조선화, 1990년대 전후의 한국미술, 한국의 신세대미술, 광주비엔날레와 부산비엔날레, 미디어 시티 서울, 한국 여성 미술, 한국의 미디어 아트, 1980년대와 1990년대 코리언 아메리칸 아트 등 총 13장으로 구성됐다. 

편집자 및 필진은 정연심 홍익대 예술학과 교수, 김선정 광주비엔날레재단 대표, 킴벌리 정 캐나다 맥길대 교수, 시각 문화학자 케이스 와그너 영국 런던칼리지 교수.
