브루클린 이탈리안 동네 캐롤 가든의 헬스클럽 'Body Elite Gym'(Court & Union St.) 3층 건물이 7월 1일 오후 붕괴했다. 이 건물은 코로나 팬데믹으로 보수공사 중이었다.
한편, 뉴욕의 헬스클럽 3천여개 소유주들이 4단계 오프닝에서도 빠져있는 것에 불만을 품고 앤드류 쿠오모 뉴욕주지사를 대상으로 집단소송을 걸겠다고 으름장을 놓았다. 이들은 수정헌법 14조의 모든 사업체는 동등하게 대우되어야 한다고 주장하고 있다.
