코로나19으로 뉴욕시 레스토랑 80%가 6월 렌트를 완불하지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 식당업계 직원 4명중 1명은 아직 실업 상태로 조사됐다.
NYC Hospitality Alliance가 509개 레스토랑을 대상으로 실시한 조사 결과다. 이 조사에 따르면, 36%는 렌트를 못냈으며, 90%는 절반 이하를 냈다. 그리고, 렌트를 재협상한 식당은 10%로 밝혀졌다.
