메일랜드에서 텔레콤 회사 iTalk Global Communications를 운영하는 중국계 지에 잭 자오(Jie "Jack" Zhao, 61)씨가 두 아들을 하버드대에 입학시키기 위해 펜싱 코치 피터 브랜드(Peter Brand, 67)에게 150만 달러의 뇌물을 건내 체포됐다.
