코로나 팬데믹...뉴욕시 다시 휴교령, 확진자수 1천130만명

뉴욕시 공립학교가 코로나 팬데믹 2차 파동으로 11월 19일부터 다시 휴교에 들어간다. 이로써 뉴욕시의 30여만명 어린이들은 당분간 대면수업 대신 Zoom을 통한 원격 교육으로 돌아간다. 최근 뉴욕시의 코로나19 확진률은 3%에 달했다. 또한, 11월 18일 현재 미국 내 전체 코로나19 확진자수는 1천130만명, 사망자수는 24만7천834명에 달했다.
New York City's school system, the nation's largest, will close as virus cases rise. It's a big setback to the city's recovery.
The shutdown is a worrisome signal that a second wave of the coronavirus has arrived. Schools have been open for in-person instruction for just under eight weeks.
