12월 9일 하루 미국의 코로나19 사망자 수가 최고치인 3천11명에 달했다. 이로써 미국의 코로나19 총 사망자수는 29만6천698명이다.
12월 9일 현재 세계 코로나19 확진자수는 6천9백22만8천394명, 사망자수는 157만5천621명이다. 한국은 총 확진자수 4만98명, 사망자는 564명이다.
A week after the U.S. broke a daily record for coronavirus deaths set in April, it did so again. At least 3,000 deaths were reported Wednesday.
Last week’s record — 2,760 deaths reported in a single day — was a milestone because not since the pandemic’s first peak, in spring, had so many deaths been reported. The high point then was 2,752 deaths, on April 15.
