펜스테이션 개조, 1/1 그랜드 오프닝, NYT

맨해튼 펜스테이션이 16억 달러의 개조 공사 후 베일을 드러냈다. 새 역사는 2003년 별세한 대니얼 패트릭 모니핸 전 연방상원의원의 이름을 따서 모니핸 트레인 홀(Moynihan Train Hall)으로 지어졌다. 중앙우체국 건물이 92피트 스카이라이트 천장과 공공미술로 장식된 초현대식 역사로 탈바꿈했다. 설계는 원월드트레이드센터를 건축한 SOM(Skidmore, Owings & Merrill)이 맡았으며, 케힌데 와일리, 스탠 더글라스와 엘름그린&드래그셋 듀오가 위임받아 미술품을 제작했다.
