유튜브가 도널드 트럼프의 채널을 최소 1주일간 중단한다. 구글이 소유한 유튜브 측은 "지속적으로 잠재적인 폭력이 위험성"을 이유로 중지시켰다. 이 채널의 구독자는 약 270만명이다.

지난 6일 트럼프 지지자들의 국회의사당 난입 후 트위터, 페이스북을 비롯 인스태그램, 스냅챗, 레딧, 트위치 등 소셜미디어가 그의 계정을 일시 중지시켰다.

YouTube suspended President Trump’s channel from uploading new content for at least seven days over concerns about the “ongoing potential for violence.” 

YouTube is the latest tech company to bar the president from posting online, following Twitter, Facebook and others.
