뉴욕에서 코로나19 백신 접종에 백인들이 특혜를 받고 있는 것으로 드러났다. 뉴욕타임스에 따르면, 1차 접종을 받은 약 30만명 중 백인은 48%, 라틴계는 15%, 아시안은 15%, 흑인은 11%로 조사됐다. 뉴욕시의 인종별 인구 분포에 의하면, 라틴계는 29%, 흑인은 24%다. 특히 65세 이상 흑인은 9%밖에 접종받지 못했다.

Data showed that while 24% of city residents are Black, only 11% of vaccine recipients were. White New Yorkers received a disproportionate share of the shots.
