인디애나폴리스미술관 공고에 '백인 관람객 타겟' 관장 사임
인디애나폴리스 미술관이 최근 관장(director) 공모에 “전통적이며, 핵심적인 백인 미술 관람객(traditional, core, white art audience)”을 위해 일할 신임 관장을 찾는다고 밝혀 파문이 일으켰다가 사과 후 사임했다. 이 미술관 이사진을 비롯, 인디애나폴리스의 문화계 종사자 500여명은 공개서한에서 관장 겸 최고 경영자인 찰스 L. 베너블(Charles L. Venable)의 사임을 촉구했었다.
