22일 오후 콜로라도주 볼더의 수퍼마켓 킹 수퍼스(King Soopers)에서 총기난사 사건이 발생해 경찰 1인을 포함 10명이 사망했다. 용의자는 출동한 경찰에 의해 현장에서 체포됐다. 16일 애틀랜타 지역에서 총기난사로 한인 여성 4인을 포함 8명이 사망한 지 6일만에 또 발생했다.

콜로라도 볼더는 덴버에서 북서쪽으로 25마일 떨어진 대학촌이다. 1999년 볼더에서 41마일 떨어진 콜롬바인 고교 총기난사 사건으로 학생 12명과 교사 1명이 목숨을 잃었으며, 2012년 7월엔 볼더에서 35마일 떨어진 영화관에서 'The Dark Knight Rises' 상영 중 총기난사로 12명이 사망했다.     

Ten people, including a police officer, were killed in a shooting at a grocery store in Boulder, Colo. A suspect is in custody, the police said.

The authorities in Boulder confirmed the number of fatalities in a second news conference on Monday evening.

Videos showed a handcuffed man being escorted from the building by officers at about 3:30 p.m., shirtless and with his right leg appearing to be covered in blood.
