5월 7일 오후 4t시 55분경 타임스퀘어(47스트릿 &7애브뉴)에서 총격사건으로 행인 3명과 4살 소녀가 부상당했으며, 수백명이 도피했다. NYPD는 혐의자 페라칸 무하마드를 찾고 있다. 무하마드는 형제와 말싸움을 하다가 총을 발사한 것으로 알려졌다. 

 

5월 8일 오후 4시경 플로리다주 아벤투라의 쇼핑몰 휴고 보스 매장에서 두 그룹이 언쟁을 벌이다 몸싸움으로 발전된 후 총격으로 최소 3명이 부상당했다.  

 

5월 9일 마더스데이 콜로라도 스프링스의 한 생일파티에서 한 남성이 애인을 비롯 6명을 총기 난사한 후 자살했다. 

 

이외에도 뉴왁, 피닉스 하이야트 레전시 호텔, 메릴랜드 우드론, 밀워키, 세인트루이스, 캘리포니아 등지에서 총기 난사 사건이 발생했다.
