뉴욕공립도서관 본관 건너편의 미드타운 5애브뉴(Stravros Niarchos Foundation Library, 455 Fifth Ave.) 지점이 2억 달러의 보수공사를 마치고 재개관했다. 

1914년 아놀드 콘스타블 백화점 건물로 건축되어 1970년대부터 뉴욕공립도서관으로 사용해왔다. 18만 평방피트 규모의 이 도서관은 루프톱을 개방하는 유일한 미드타운 빌딩이 됐다.
