빌 드 블라지오 뉴욕시장은 코로나 팬데믹 절정기에 차량통행을 금지한 바 있다. 자동차 없는 거리는 Gansevoort Street, Little West 12th Street, West 13th Street(between Ninth Avenue and Washington Street and the Ninth Avenue)로 앞으로 야외 공연, 전시가 펼쳐질 예정이다.
