미 연방 교육부가 장애 학생 30여만명의 학자금 58억 달러를 탕감한다고 발표했다. 교육부는 사회보장국(SSA) 기록에서 장애 학생으로 등록된 대출자를 대상으로 9월부터 융자를 상환할 예정이다. 수혜 학생 수는 32만여명에 이른다.
