임금 및 직원수를 위조해 코로나 PPP 지원금 600만 달러를 받은 조지아주의 한 여성(Hunter VanPelt/ Ellen Cockrum, 49)이 징역 3년 이상에 직면했다. 이 여성은 6차례 사기로 총 790만 달러를 신청했었다. 연방 법무부는 이제까지 150건의 PPP 사기에서 약 7천500만 달러를 압수했다. 텍사스대의 조사에 따르면, 8조 달러의 지원금 중 760억 달러는 부적절하게 배부된 것으로 추정된다.
