동화로 배우는 한국어

 

뉴욕한국문화원(원장 조윤증)은 오는 2월 17일 (목) 오후 1시 2022 <동화로 배우는 한국어>의 2월 프로그램으로 “열두 띠 동물”을 주제로 한 온라인 교육 프로그램을 개최한다.

 

뉴욕공립도서관과 공동주최하는 이번 프로그램에서는 임인년 ‘검은 호랑이의 해’를 맞이하여 한국의 ‘띠’ 문화를 아이들에게 소개할 예정이다. 쥐, 소, 호랑이, 토끼 등 십이지(十二支) 순서의 유래를 담은 동화 구연과 함께 열두 동물들의 이름을 한국어로 배워보고 자신의 띠를 알아보는 시간이 제공된다. 또한 동요 부르기와 만들기 등 다양한 놀이 활동도 준비되어 있다. 

 

뉴욕한국문화원의 대표 어린이 교육 프로그램인 <동화로 배우는 한국어>는 작년부터 뉴욕공립도서관 세인트 아그네스 지점과 공동으로 주최하는 온라인 교육으로, 매월 다양한 주제를 선정하여 현재까지 6백 여 명의 한인 동포 어린이들과 뉴욕 현지 어린이들에게 쉽고 재미있게 한국어 및 한국문화를 소개해왔다. 

 

한국어와 영어로 진행되는 이번 행사는 한국어를 알지 못하더라도 동화를 사랑하는

Theme: The Story of Twelve Zodiac Animals

 

Let’s play and learn Korean!

New Class every third Thursday of the Month at 1:00 PM

 

The race is on! The first 12 animals crossing the finish line will have a Zodiac sign named after them in the order they arrive. Who will grab the first place and who will fight to the very end for the 12th place in the race?

 

In this February program, we are going to learn 띠 (tti), the Korean Zodiac Signs, and how to say the twelve animals’ names in Korean.

 

Storytime is a program for parents/caregivers and their children. The parent/caregiver is suggested to be present during the entire program.

 

<Korean Storytime> is an online education program by the Korean Cultural Center New York and New York Public Library, St. Agnes. It deals with diverse themed stories every month in Korean and English.
