지난해 5월 이브생로랑을 표절 혐의로 비판했던 샤넬이 공식 합의에 도달하면서 10일 공동으로 성명서를 발표했다. 샤넬 SAS의 사장 브루노 파블로프스키는 지난해 5월 이브생로랑의 2021 가을 컬렉션에 나온 트위드 재킷이 샤넬의 클래식 재킷과 유사하다고 말한 바 있다. 이번 성명에서 "샤넬과 YSL은 표절과 위조를 일삼는 기생충같은 기업으로부터 창의성과 천재성을 보호해야 한다"고 밝혔다.
