에릭 아담스 뉴욕시장은 코로나19 확진자수가 적으면, 3월 7일까지 학교/식당/헬스클럽/영화관 등지의 마스크 착용의무와 백신 접종 증명을 해제할 준비가 되었다고 밝혔다.  한편, 캐시 호컬 뉴욕주지사는 3월 2일부터 교내 마스크 착용 의무 규정을 폐지한다고 밝혔다.

New York City says it will end the school mask mandate and indoor vaccination requirements.

The governor said the statewide mask mandate in schools would end on Wednesday, and Mayor Adams planned to lift pandemic measures in the city on March 7.
