맨해튼 센트럴파크 웨스트의 미자연사박물관에 과학관(Richard Gilder Center of Science, Education and Innovation)이 신축 중이다.  79스트릿-컬럼버스애브뉴에 위치한 리처드 길더 과학교육혁신센터 건축엔 4억3천100만 달러가 투여될 예정이며 책임 건축가는 진 갱(Jeane Gang)이다. 가우디 스타일의 곡선 외양이 특징힌 과학관 내 아트리움은 4천만 달러를 기부한 헤지펀드 매니저 케네스 C. 그리핀의 이름으로 명명될 예정이다. 오프닝은 다음 겨울로 알려졌다.
