코로나 팬데믹으로 2년간 중지했던 제임스비어드재단상(James Beard Foundation)의 2022 최종 후보가 발표됐다. 

미 전역을 대상으로 하는 탁월한 셰프(Outstanding Chef) 부문에 시애틀에서 퓨전한식당  주울(Joule)을 운영하는 한인 셰프 레이첼 양(Rachel Yang)과 세이프 처치(Seif Chirchi) 부부가 올랐다. 미슐랭 2스타 한식당 아토믹스(Atomix)의 박정현(Junghyun Park)씨는 뉴욕주의 베스트 셰프 후보에 지명됐다. 

최우수 패이스트리 셰프 부문에는 김소희 셰프가 운영하는 브루클린 게이즈 & 톨너(Gage & Tollner)의 캐롤라인 쉬프(Caroline Shiff)가 올랐다. 

한편, 한인 2세 조안 리 몰리나로(Joanne Lee Molinaro)의 'The Korean Vegan Cookbook: Reflections and Recipes from Omma's Kitchen)'은 도서부문 '야채촛점요리' 부문에 노미네이트됐다. 시상식은 6월 13일 시카고 릴릭오페라에서 열린다.
